Celebrating 100 Years
100 Years of Being Unstoppable
For a century, Shriners Children’s Lexington has provided pediatric orthopedic care that helps children thrive and build brighter futures. Since opening our doors in 1926, our goal has been to deliver world-class, life-changing care to children in Lexington and beyond.
We are deeply grateful to our generous donors, our incredible staff, and – most importantly – our patients, both past and present. This milestone would not be possible without you.
A History of Hope and Healing in Lexington
Our story began in 1926 when the Oleika Shriners funded the cost of our very first location: a 20-bed wing at Good Samaritan Hospital. That small beginning set the stage for nearly a century of growth, innovation, and compassionate care. Today, four facilities later, we continue to reflect on our remarkable history and the countless lives changed along the way.
Here’s to the next 100 years of helping children, changing lives, and making history!
