Shriners Children's Chicago is where hope and healing meet. Our hospital located on the outskirts of Chicago, has hundreds of staff specialized in caring for children with a pediatric intensive care unit and a full line of inpatient and outpatient care. With a team specializing in pediatric orthopedic conditions, including rare diseases and syndromes, we are a destination for families across the United States, as well as internationally. Our facility is also equipped to provide patients with comprehensive rehabilitation, spinal cord injury and cleft lip and palate care. Our team at Shriners Children's Chicago is committed to providing a high-quality, individualized treatment plan for your child.
Advancing Care Through Research and Innovation
We are changing the lives of children every day through our 30 multi-center research projects. These projects are part of our commitment to innovative pediatric specialty care, research and outstanding medical education.
Expanding Our Expertise Through Partnerships
Our team collaborates with the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System in an effort to strengthen our clinical expertise and extend care to more children. We also provide training for UI Health’s orthopedic residents and residents from other leading academic medical centers in the Chicagoland area.
Our Motion Analysis Center
Our hospital has a motion analysis center that uses data to determine the most effective care option for children with orthopedic conditions. Our team in the motion analysis center works with medical and research specialists from the NIH-sponsored Bone Brittle Disorders Consortium (BBD), the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF) and the Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Engineering Center (OREC). These partnerships provide valuable expertise and are key to our success in continually developing new technologies and innovations for pediatric orthopedic conditions.Learn More
