Hi, I'm Shelby. And this is Partners in Healing.

Shelby: Clara, we're both patients here at Shriner's Children's. So, why are you here?

Clara: I have scoliosis.

Shelby: I'm here because I have a limb disability in my left side. So, Shriners makes me prosthetics.

Clara: Oh, my brace goes around my torso. And then they laminate it to make it hard.

Shelby: Cool.

Clara: I can do cheer. I can swim. I can do gymnastics.

Shelby: I mainly use my prosthetic for like drawing and stuff.

Clara: Yeah.

Shelby: This wire pulls the thing open and it can open if I just extend it forward.

Clara: Is it hard to drive?

Shelby: Eric is making me a prosthetic right now to help me drive.

Clara: Yeah.

Shelby: And so I think it will make it easier.
