Walk-In Fracture and Sports Injury Clinic

The walk-in fracture clinic at Shriners Children’s Southern California is designed with convenience in mind for busy families and children. We treat it all – fractures, sprains and strains. From sports fields to playgrounds, your child is just being a kid, and injuries happen. X-rays, casting, surgery (if needed), follow-up assessments and rehabilitation are offered, and all under one roof. Walk right in, no appointment is needed.

Important to Know:

  • Limited to patients with an acute fracture or sports-related injury occurring within the last 10 days.
  • Patients should be directed to an emergency room if they have an open fracture, circulatory involvement, nerve issues or life- or limb-threatening conditions.
  • Patients are encouraged to call in advance to help minimize wait times.
  • Same-day and next-day appointments are available.

What to bring:

  • Parent or guardian photo identification.
  • Insurance card.
  • X-ray or medical note if available.
  • Knowledge of primary care physician, medication lists and medical history.

Once you arrive:

  • Let the front desk staff know you are here to visit the walk-in fracture clinic.
  • Check in at registration.
  • Upon registering, the staff will direct you to the clinic or radiology department.
  • Be seen by the provider and develop a care plan.
  • Schedule any follow-up appointments.
