Our Affiliations and Partners

Established by Shriners Children's Salt Lake City and The University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics, the Utah Clubfoot Clinic treats patients with clubfoot and other related orthopedic conditions.

The Utah Clubfoot Clinic is a collaboration between Shriners Children's Salt Lake City and The University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics. The Utah Clubfoot Clinic brings together the state's leading specialists in clubfoot to provide care for children with this condition.

If your child requires treatment for clubfoot, they are seen by specialists at the University of Utah, who use nonsurgical methods to provide them with casting. Following the casting period, Shriners Children's Pediatric Orthotics and Prosthetic Services (POPS) specialists take care of any of their bracing needs.

Extending Our Care Through Primary Children’s Hospital

Shriners Children's Salt Lake City partners with Primary Children's Hospital to provide our specialists with the facilities they need to perform surgical procedures for our patients including additional access to laboratory services, respiratory therapists, pediatric intensive care and emergency services.

If your child is a patient at Shriners Children's Salt Lake City and requires surgery as part of their care plan, the procedure will be performed at Primary Children's by their Shriners Children's physician.

Following their surgical procedure, your child will return to Shriners Children's Salt Lake City for follow-up appointments. Additional care services will all be provided by your Shriners Children's Salt Lake City physicians and specialists.

This partnership allows the Salt Lake City Shriners Children's to expand and enhance our specialty services to serve more children.

Advancing our Partnership Through Education

The Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship at the University of Utah trains two fellows per year including on-site training through Primary Children’s Hospital and Shriners Children's Salt Lake City. Our three institutions work closely to provide exceptional educational experiences in all areas of pediatric orthopedics.
