Viviana Ruiz Barros, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist at Shriners Northern California, where she specializes in pediatric and regional anesthesia for orthopedic, burn and general surgeries.
Dr. Ruiz Barros is committed to providing excellent, compassionate, evidence-based care to all of her patients. She recognizes the privilege that is caring for children and adolescents during some of their hardest times, and strives to create a positive experience for them and their families.
Dr. Ruiz Barros is delighted to practice at Shriners Children's. Her interests include student mentoring and outreach, gender equity and inclusion, professional development and leadership. She is fluent in Spanish and (basic) Portuguese.
