Jill Froimson, M.D., is a board-eligible plastic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of upper extremity conditions in children including the management of congenital hand differences, pediatric hand fractures and general pediatric plastic surgery.
Dr. Froimson’s academic and personal achievements reflect a lifelong commitment to excellence, empathy and service to others. She completed her undergraduate studies at Lehigh University where she graduated with highest honors and received the Lehigh University Presidential Scholarship. This scholarship allowed Dr. Froimson to pursue an advanced degree in psychology, focusing her research specifically on social and emotional development in children. She then received her medical degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Froimson was inspired to pursue a career in plastic surgery and completed her residency at the University of Chicago. As a chief resident, Dr. Froimson was given the Resident Teaching Award by her peers.
She completed her hand and upper extremity fellowship in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Loyola University, where she spent a significant portion of her time at Shriners Children’s. Dr. Froimson felt such a strong commitment to the team and mission in her fellowship that she chose to work at Shriners Children’s.
Known for her calm, compassionate approach, Dr. Froimson integrates her background in pediatric psychology with her clinical knowledge and surgical training to create individualized care plans that honor each child’s unique needs. She is passionate about advancing the Shriners Children’s mission and is dedicated to ensuring that every child receives exceptional, accessible and empowering care.
