Lee Alkureishi, M.D., began his training in Scotland, U.K., where he completed medical school, entered surgical training and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He immigrated to the United States to complete residency training in plastic surgery and fellowship in pediatric/craniofacial surgery, and has remained in the Chicago area since entering practice in 2016.

The decision to work with Shriners Children's was a natural one, matching Dr. Alkureishi's philosophy toward healthcare provision. Dr. Alkureishi finds working with children and their families to be one of the most rewarding aspects of his practice. Dr. Alkureishi provides the full spectrum of pediatric plastic surgery care, from treatment of scars and birthmarks to management of complex craniofacial conditions.
