Blake Montgomery, M.D., has dedicated his talents to caring for children and adolescents with orthopedic spine conditions. He serves at Shriners Children's St. Louis alongside three other pediatric spine surgeons and a multi-disciplinary pediatric team including physical therapists and child life specialists.

Dr. Montgomery specializes in treating spine curvatures such as idiopathic, congenital, neuromuscular, early-onset and syndromic scoliosis. He also treats children with spina bifida, vertebral anomalies, spinal fractures, disorders of the cervical spine, skeletal dysplasia, metabolic disorders, spine tumors and disc herniations.

Most recently, Dr. Montgomery completed his Harvard University pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital and then took on a one-year pediatric spine fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand.

He strives to offer personalized, compassionate and specialized care to each patient. The team at Shriners Children's St. Louis knows serving kids with spine differences can help set them up for a pain-free, functional and successful life.

Dr. Montgomery also serves as an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Washington University. Additionally, he's currently working toward a Master of Science in clinical investigation.
