Shriners Children's offers dental radiology which uses painless X-ray machines such as pan ceph and CBCT, to show surgeons 3D views of a child's jaw bone, teeth and other facial structures. This helps with evaluation and treatment planning.

Maxillary hyperplasia is a condition where the upper jaw bone's structure is larger or longer than the lower jaw, creating an underbite. Shriners Children's craniofacial surgeons can provide treatment to realign and correct the jaw.

Mandibular Hypoplasia
Mandibular hypoplasia, or micrognathia is when the lower jaw (mandible) forms too small and teeth don't align. May affect a child's eating, breathing and speech. Shriners Children's craniofacial and ENT surgeons provide treatment.
