Michael Salt, D.O., is a pediatric critical care physician in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) at both Mass General Brigham for Children and Shriners Children's Boston. Dr. Salt finds immense meaning and purpose in caring for the children and families who receive specialized care at Shriners Children's.
Dr. Salt is deeply passionate about medical education and serves as the program director for the pediatric critical care fellowship at Mass General Brigham for Children. His career is centered around educating the future generation of physicians, striving to instill in them a deep commitment to exceptional, patient-centered care. In his role as director of point of care ultrasound (POCUS) in the PICU, he is dedicated to teaching these critical, hands-on skills. Dr. Salt champions the integration of POCUS to enhance diagnostic capabilities, improve efficiency, and ultimately improve patient outcomes for critically ill children.
