Rocio del Bosque, APRN, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner in the department of orthopedics at Shriners Children's Texas. She is involved with patient care during all aspects of their treatment, from new visits to follow-up clinic visits. She focuses her care on gait abnormalities, lower extremity concerns and scoliosis. Rocio takes great pride in her work at Shriners Children's Texas. She was named Shriners Children’s employee brand ambassador in 2022.

Rocio earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas, Medical Branch in 2016. She worked as an acute care nurse at UTMB, Galveston while attending the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program at The University of Texas, Medical Branch. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, and FNP certification in 2021 and joined the Shriners Children's Texas orthopedic team later that year. Rocio is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and a member of the American Nurses Association. Rocio makes it a priority to listen to each patient's unique situation and work with them to maximize a patient’s function and overall wellness. She feels very fortunate to work with such an amazing team of healthcare providers who are passionate about helping children reach their potential and lead more fulfilling lives.

In her free time, Rocio loves to participate in outreach programs, travel and play with her two dogs. She is a native Spanish speaker who was born in Monterrey, Mexico where she lived for 10 years. She currently resides in Galveston, Texas where she has lived for the past seven years. She loves the island and the wonderful community of Galveston.
