Holly Nelson is a board-certified physical therapist who discovered her passion for pediatric care during a student rotation at Shriners Children’s Salt Lake City. Originally from Idaho, she moved to Utah to attend the University of Utah, where she earned her Master of Physical Therapy.
Holly’s diverse experience includes working with Rehab Without Walls and serving as a therapist in the local school district. At Shriners Children’s Salt Lake City, she enjoys a dynamic role that combines individual patient care with co-leading therapeutic group activities alongside the recreational therapy team. These groups are designed to help children build friendships, engage in physical activity, and support one another in a fun and inclusive environment.
Outside of work, Holly enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. She loves hiking, biking, traveling, and her latest hobby, “sleking,” a combination of sledding and hiking. These adventures allow her to enjoy the outdoors while making meaningful memories with her family.
