David Lazarus, M.D., chose pediatric orthopedics for multiple reasons, the first being that he loves treating children and their families. Orthopedics is a field of medicine that is unique in the sense that, for a lot of orthopedic and musculoskeletal problems, there is oftentimes a definitive treatment or cure. Orthopedics and quality of life go hand in hand.
Dr. Lazarus's philosophy of care is treating his patients like he would family. He says that it's extremely important to find out the treatment goals of the patient and their family, then form a treatment plan as a team with the best and most up-to-date care.
When he is not working, you will find Dr. Lazarus spending time with his family (wife, daughter and dog). He also enjoys college football and rooting on his Georgia Bulldogs, fishing - and traveling when he gets the opportunity.
