Sara Kaskowitz, D.O., is a double board-certified physician in family medicine and sports medicine who specializes in the care of children and adolescents with sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries. She is passionate about helping young athletes stay healthy, recover safely and return to the activities they love with confidence.
Dr. Kaskowitz has extensive experience caring for athletes across all levels of competition, including youth and high school sports, collegiate programs (Division I through Division III), and professional athletics. During her sports medicine fellowship, she served as a team physician for the New York Jets. She is committed to bringing the same evidence-based, safety-focused approach used in elite sports medicine to the care of growing bodies.
Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dr. Kaskowitz earned her undergraduate degree with a major in bioethics, an experience that shaped her commitment to thoughtful, family-centered decision-making and clear communication. She completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and her residency training with Penn State Health, where she served as chief resident. She went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at Atlantic Health System.
Dr. Kaskowitz has particular clinical interests in pediatric and adolescent sports injuries, concussion evaluation and management; bone health and stress injuries; female athlete health; injury prevention and safe return-to-play planning. She emphasizes developmentally appropriate care and partners closely with families to create individualized treatment plans that support long-term health, growth and athletic participation.
Fluent in medical Spanish, Dr. Kaskowitz prioritizes accessible, compassionate communication and practical guidance for patients and their families. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading and traveling with her husband.
