Crystal Hernandez, APRN, was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley in McAllen, Texas. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and her Master of Science in nursing from Tech’s Health Sciences Center.
Prior to joining Shriners Children’s Texas, she worked as a nurse practitioner for eight years with Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, in their orthopedic outpatient clinic. In her role as a pediatric orthopedic nurse practitioner at Shriners Children’s Texas, she treats a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with a particular passion for caring for children with scoliosis.
Crystal is married and has two young children. When she’s not at the hospital caring for her patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Gigi, as well as gardening and reading.
