Dominique Laron, M.D., joined the team at Shriners Children's Portland after completing his fellowship at the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center. This was following medical school and residency at the University of California San Francisco. He decided early on in his orthopedic residency that he would be pursuing a fellowship and career in pediatric orthopedics. He says, in the simplest terms, children are magical creatures. Their incredible level of resiliency, ability to heal and capacity to face and overcome challenges is such a wonderful process to be a part of.

Whether casting a broken bone, reconstructing an ACL to get someone back out on the soccer field or helping a child to sit up straight, Dr. Laron's ultimate goal has always been to help children be children. His clinical interests are in pediatric sports medicine, gait abnormalities, neuromuscular disorders and cerebral palsy. When he's not at work, he tries to take advantage of everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. You can find him hiking, biking, climbing, fly fishing, kayaking and skiing/snowboarding.
