Deborah Vermaire, M.D., is a board-certified anesthesiologist. She received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Her residency in anesthesiology was completed at the University of Kentucky, followed by a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital.

She returned to the Spokane community and Shriners Children's Spokane in 2010, after serving as a staff anesthesiologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, and American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.

Dr. Vermaire takes an active role in the education of future physicians by teaching medical students in clinical and classroom settings. She participates in research and has been published in the British Medical Journal.
