Kevin Baszis, M.D., became interested in pediatric rheumatology when he did a one-month rotation in it during medical school. He enjoys the complexity of rheumatology and the diagnostic odyssey that is sometimes involved. It is rewarding to see patients with juvenile arthritis improve with the variety of excellent medications available today. Perhaps most importantly, he enjoys building long-term relationships with these patients and families and watching the patients live full lives regardless of their autoimmune disease.
