Richard Sederman, RN, CPN, Shriners Children's Boston: We're here today to introduce one of our patients, Angel, to the Boston College Basketball team. He's going to meet all the players and maybe tell a little bit of his story.

Earl Grant, Head Coach, Boston College Men's Basketball: Hey, how you doing? I'm Earl Grant. What's your name?

Angel, Patient Ambassador, Shriners Children's Boston: Angel.

Earl Grant, Head Coach, Boston College Men's Basketball: Nice to meet you, Angel. I'm glad you're able to be here today.

Angel, Patient Ambassador, Shriners Children's Boston: I can't wait.

Richard Sederman, RN, CPN, Shriners Children's Boston: Angel came to us when he was about three. He had a horrific injury in the Dominican Republic.

Laura, Angel's Mother: We learned that in his home country, while he was playing he fell into a fire that hadn't been put out.

Richard Sederman, RN, CPN, Shriners Children's Boston: He wasn't going to be able to use his hands unless he made it to us. Which made it one of the more important things we were able to help him with.

Angel, Patient Ambassador, Shriners Children's Boston: Over the years I stayed at Shriners, it was like a family to me; the first real family that I had.

Richard Sederman, RN, CPN, Shriners Children's Boston: Angel's injuries required a lot of different doctors. Since he got to us, he probably had upwards 20 or more surgeries.

Earl Grant, Head Coach, Boston College Men's Basketball: I'm excited to be playing in Charleston but because of Shriners and what that means it gives us something to play for.

Boden Kapke, Center, Boston College Men's Basketball Team: I'm can't wait to play in the Shriners Children's Charleston Classic. I definitely think it's important we get this message out and continue to help other people. So that everyone can get the help they need, just like Angel did.

Richard Sederman, RN, CPN, Shriners Children's Boston: Shriners Hospital's has helped so many kids, doesn't matter the family's ability to pay.

Angel, Patient Ambassador, Shriners Children's Boston: I'm grateful that they're helping me to improve to do things like play sports. A shout out to Shriners and go Eagles.
