Zachary Peacock, DMD, MD, Shriners Children's Boston:
I'm Zach Peacock. I'm a consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. I'm also the co-director of the Cleft and Craniofacial Clinic.

I was drawn to surgery because of the impact that it can have on patients and their lives. We can impact their anatomy, their function, their appearance, but also, we have an impact on their future.

I'm quite drawn to working with children, particularly in the area of facial differences, because we essentially meet them as early as infancy and follow them into adulthood. People that are here are here because they want to be here. They have compassion for these children. They have a unique perspective to care for these patients, regardless of their background, or insurance status, or ability to pay.

We're here to treat not just the condition, but the whole patient and the whole family.
