Fine Dine Front Lines Delivers Another Round of Meals to the Spokane Shriners Hospital
A few years ago, father-daughter duo Ryan and Violet each received very tragic diagnoses, cancer. Their family life quickly turned upside down as they simultaneously began chemotherapy treatment at two separate hospitals.
After a long road to recovery, the two were certain that they wanted to give back to health care workers in some capacity. Then COVID-19 swept the globe and their desire to help became even more pressing.
The two Seattle natives created a foundation called Fine Dine Front Lines, an organization that raises money to buy meals for front line health care workers from locally-owned restaurants. With the help of a supportive team of friends and family, the meals are then delivered to a chosen health care organization.
The Spokane Shriners Hospital has been the recipient of three separate meal deliveries. Each time the Fine Dine Front Lines team delivers roughly 130 meals to the hospital.
“We can’t thank Ryan and the Fine Dine Front Lines team enough for their generosity,” said Spokane Shriners Hospital Marketing and Business Development Director Kristin Monasmith. “It is just amazing to be thought of during times like these.”
The team recently began making plans to travel the country, delivering meals along the way. Then Ryan discovered that his leukemia had returned.
As Ryan prepares to enter a hospital for another intensive round of cancer treatment, his friends and family prepare to continue his mission.
“We will keep this going regardless,” said Ryan. “We can’t wait to come back and feed Shriners Hospital again.”
