Shriners Children’s three-part mission has one goal: to change and improve lives.

We do this by caring for our patients, conducting research to gain knowledge and develop new treatments, and providing educational opportunities for physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Both patients and health care professionals find they have entered a very special place when they step into Shriners Children’s. From the first moment, the experience is different. Our compassionate, patient-centered atmosphere immediately sets a tone of hope for the families who come to us.

In addition, our physicians and clinicians are known for sharing their experience and knowledge with medical communities around the world, so that more children may be helped closer to where they live.

Providing Compassionate, Innovative Care

Shriners Children’s has been serving children with complex and specialized healthcare needs since 1922. We have become one of the largest specialty pediatric health care systems in the world. In addition to caring for children at our primary locations in the United States, Canada and Mexico, we hold outreach clinics all over the world.

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care to children with orthopedic conditions, neuromuscular conditions, burn injuries, craniofacial conditions and spinal cord injuries. Our experienced medical teams also provide spine care, sports medicine and other special health care within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative environment. Our physicians are board-certified in their areas of medical specialty.

Conducting Research

Shriners Children’s is committed to conducting high-quality, innovative research in order to improve the care and quality of life of children around the world.

Over the years, our researchers have made significant breakthroughs in many areas, including burn care, congenital neuromuscular disorders, craniofacial conditions, orthopedics, spine care and sports medicine. Today, we're breaking ground in some of the most innovative areas of health care, including genetics and motion analysis. This work helps us to develop more effective, personalized treatment plans for our patients and treatment for children around the world.
