Jeffrey C. Wint, M.D., is an orthopedic hand surgeon who has cared for children and families throughout Western Massachusetts for more than 30 years. He has been affiliated with Shriners Children’s New England throughout his entire career, where he now focuses his practice exclusively after concluding many years in private practice.
Dr. Wint’s work at Shriners Children’s centers on treating children with congenital, traumatic and neuromuscular upper-limb conditions, and involves close collaboration with the prosthetics and orthotics team. His clinical approach emphasizes thoughtful diagnosis, practical education for families and long-term continuity of care.
Dr. Wint is deeply involved in professional service, education and advocacy. He has served on multiple committees within the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, contributing to surgeon education as well as public education on hand safety and common hand conditions. He also serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals in the field of hand and upper-extremity surgery, supporting ongoing research, scholarship and advancement of the specialty.
