Hip Surveillance in Cerebral Palsy

Steven Wilding, M.D., pediatric orthopedic surgery fellow at Shriners Children’s Northern California and UC Davis, has won first place in the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America's (POSNA) 2025 Video Contest.

The educational video, Hip Surveillance in Children with Cerebral Palsy, was developed for patients with cerebral palsy and their parents. Assistant Chief of Orthopedics and Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship Director Vedant Kulkarni M.D., served as Dr. Wilding’s mentor for the project. The video was announced as a winner during the POSNA Annual Meeting in May, and was recognized for its creativity and educational impact. In addition to the Shriners Children's website, the video is being shared on POSNA's OrthoKids website and YouTube channel. Congratulations Dr. Wilding and team for sharing your expertise with patients in a tangible and effective manner.
