Build-A-Bear Salutes Health Care Heroes

Meet our amazing hero – Pam! Pam is a social work care manager at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Galveston. Pam works on the acute burn care management team, helping patients and their caregivers during their initial, intensive care stay at the Galveston Shriners Hospital.

"I feel so fortunate to be able to work with the patients and their families at Shriners [Hospital]," said Pam. "Every day I am amazed at the strength of the patients we treat. They are the real heroes!"

"I have met so many incredible caregivers that have inspired me. It is my privilege to be able to walk alongside, and help them during the most critical and difficult time of their child's treatment, only to see their amazing recoveries as they return later for follow-up care," said Pam. "I am blessed that my career path has led me to work with these wonderful patients and their families!"
