Alexandra T. Lucas, M.D., specializes in pediatric critical care at Shriners Children's Boston and Mass General Brigham for Children. She completed her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College, majoring in neuroscience, then graduated from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. She serves as a core faculty member of the Pediatrics Residency Program and a health professions education researcher through the Learning Laboratory and Peter L. Slavin Academy for Applied Learning in Health Care at Mass General Brigham.
After finishing her fellowship in pediatric critical care, Dr. Lucas completed an additional fellowship in medical education and simulation. Her research interests include the use of educational technology and artificial intelligence. She designed a virtual simulation curriculum for residents in the PICU; funded by MGB Centers of Expertise. She also received a separate Small Project Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics, which was used to implement and study the virtual simulations.
