Ana Cadena Perez, M.D., holds a medical degree from National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico City campus, and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery.
Since she has always been particularly interested in caring for children, she decided to pursue this dream.
She believes that helping children with orthopedic conditions has a big impact on their lives and that of their families who become better equipped to understand their child's condition and needs, which is why Dr. Cedena-Perez chose to participate in a pediatric orthopedic surgery fellowship.
The best place to accomplish this dream is at Shriners Children's Mexico. After completing the fellowship, she became chief of residents, and a year later, she joined the hospital's medical staff. Being part of Shriners Children's Mexico has given her the opportunity to provide children and teenagers with comprehensive care of the highest quality.
Dr. Cedena-Perez is a member of several professional organizations, including the Mexican Society of Pediatric Orthopedics, the Mexican College of Orthopedics and Traumatology, and AO Trauma. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling around the world and playing tennis. She is also a cinephile who spends her time caring for a beautiful Wire Fox Terrier.
