Justin Drager, M.D.C.M., MS, FRCSC, is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with a focus in pediatric and adolescent athletic and traumatic injuries. He is a staff surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Canada and an assistant professor at McGill University. He specializes in advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical interventions to treat the full spectrum of knee, shoulder and elbow conditions. Dr. Drager has undergone advanced training in complex fracture surgery and joint preservation, allowing him to offer solutions for challenging conditions.

Dr. Drager graduated from medical school and orthopedic residency at McGill University. He then completed the sports medicine and shoulder fellowship at the internationally-renowned Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Additionally, he completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the Level 1 trauma center of the University of Missouri. He then joined the orthopedic sports and trauma team at Tufts Medical Centre in Boston as a staff surgeon and assistant professor of orthopedic surgery. His passion for the care of his pediatric and adolescent athletes led him to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, and then he joined the faculty at the Canada Shriners Hospital and McGill. He has extensive experience in treating athletes of all levels, and has served as an assistant team physician to the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox, team physician to the Chicago Steel USHL hockey club, and a physician for the ATP tour.

Dr. Drager is actively involved in advancing the field of sports medicine and pediatric orthopedics through research and education, and has received numerous awards for his work on improving bone and cartilage healing. He has authored over 30 manuscripts and book chapters, and has presented his work at numerous national and international meetings. He is proud to serve the young people of greater Montréal and Quebec.
