An exostosis is a benign tumor covered in cartilage that can grow in one or multiple areas of the body, normally around the knee or upper arm. An exostosis can be painless or can cause severe discomfort, requiring surgery.

In children with vasculitis, the immune system mistakenly attacks blood vessels, resulting in complex inflammation. With early diagnosis and continued treatment, many children achieve life-long remission.
