Mary Kathryn Vicary Eighmy PT, DPT, OCS, is a senior physical therapist who received a Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Gannon University. Mary completed a physical therapy orthopedic residency through the Sport and Orthopedic Department of Physical Therapy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Mary is a board-certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy. She was first introduced to the field of physical therapy when she was injured as a professional ballet dancer, and found it to be a perfect career path to blend her passions. Her clinical focus and areas of interest include sports medicine, adolescent female athletes, performing artists (dancers, gymnasts), as well as three-dimensional motion capture and research endeavors. Mary completes three-dimensional motion capture assessments of the spine and comprehensive return to sport assessments in our motion analysis center.

She is honored to work with children and adolescents at Shriners Children’s Erie. It is a privilege for her to care for her patients and assist families in navigating various challenges throughout their care. She aspires to educate patients and families to take a leading role in their health, wellness and recovery.
