Visiting Us

Patient visits

During the COVID-19 pandemic, your safety is our highest priority.

At Shriners Hospital for Children Mexico we have resumed surgical care for pediatric patients, under the guidelines of the new normal.

To protect the health of patients, families and employees, we have adopted new security measures:

  • Access to the facility is restricted. Each patient can only be accompanied by one adult.
  • Staff members are required to wear face shields and goggles when providing direct patient care or when in close contact with a parent/guardian.
  • Patients, guests and employees are screened to determine potential symptoms of cold and flu and potential exposure to the virus.
  • Body temperature is taken before entering the facilities and a health questionnaire is used to ensure that visitors have not had contact with people experiencing certain symptoms or people with COVID-19.
  • Using masks (without a valve) is mandatory to enter the hospital.
  • Social distancing is required and everyone should keep a distance of at least five feet from others.
  • Visits at the facility are limited to one patient and one parent/guardian for outpatient visits and surgery.
  • Visits are limited to one patient and one parent/guardian at the same time for inpatients. ID badges are provided.
