We want to make the referral process to Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California as simple as possible. Any child under 18 is eligible for care if the child’s condition is within the scope of services provided. As a regional pediatric medical center, the Northern California Shriners Hospital serves children throughout the Western United States, Northwestern Mexico, and Canada.
Patients are routinely transferred, transported and admitted to Shriners Hospital for Children – Northern California’s pediatric intensive care unit or to our hospital units directly from hospitals or physician’s offices.
Our registered nurse supervisor and the attending physician will coordinate with you to facilitate the urgent transfer of your patient to Shriners Hospital.

Families may also request copies of their patient medical records.
