Tethered Cord | Shriners Children's
The spinal cord normally floats freely inside the spinal canal. A tethered spinal cord is pulled down, stuck or fixed to the spinal canal. Common in children with spina bifida, surgery is the usual treatment to “untether” the spinal cord.
