Lily has been a patient at Shriners Children's Lexington almost from the day she was born. But this did not slow her down. In 2018, Lily became a National Patient Ambassador for Shriners Children’s and continues to give back to the hospital system.
We celebrate several patient ambassadors with scoliosis who have hosted fundraisers, toy drives and school projects to raise money and awareness about Shriners Children’s and the care they received.

Colton, from West Springfield, Massachusetts, became a patient at the Springfield Shriners Hospital in 2012 when he was 3 years old. He was born with a condition known as spina bifida, specifically L2-L3 myelodysplasia, a birth defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord do not form properly.

Patient ambassador, Katie, is the featured artist on our 2020 holiday card. Katie was born with spina bifida and has been a patient at Shriners Healthcare for Children — Florida since she was 3 years old.

Jessica, aka “Jessie,” has been coming to Shriners Children's Florida since 2006. She was born with spina bifida, scoliosis, bilateral hip dysplasia and clubfoot; all of which she has received support and care for at our outpatient center.
