Keeping our Patients, Families and Staff Safe in the Midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic
If your child has an upcoming appointment, please contact your local Shriners Children's location for their specific regulations and protocols pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Shriners Children's the health and safety of our patients, families, volunteers and staff is our top priority. With the evolving situation regarding COVID-19, we are closely monitoring updates and alerts from the local health departments and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Public Health Agency of Canada and Secretaría de Salud (México). We are actively following their recommendations to ensure our facilities remain safe places for you, your child and others to receive care at our world-class facilities.
Please review the CDC requirements, including accepted COVID-19 vaccines, for non-U.S. citizen, nonimmigrant passengers arriving from a foreign country to the United States by air.
Our Commitment to Specialty Care
We want you and your family to know that we are here for you throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. To ensure that the health care needs of your child continue to be met, our staff remains dedicated to providing specialized care to them and all of our patients. Since 1922, we have remained committed to our patients each and every day, and our tradition of caring for kids does not stop now.
Virtual Care and Telehealth
In response to COVID-19, Shriners Children's has adapted our services to help eliminate barriers to care, making it more accessible to our patients and their families.
With an understanding of the importance of the continuity of care and patient safety, we have introduced a new telehealth program, known as Fast Track Video Visits (FTVV), which connects patients to their care providers using video technology. This innovative approach helps families comply with safer-at-home orders and helps to ease the stress of maintaining their child's appointments.
FTVV will not replace all in-person visits. However, by using this technology, our physicians are able to reduce the number of patients who need to come to the hospital while still providing the same level of excellent specialized care that our patients and families have come to expect.
To make an appointment or find out if your child is eligible for these services, please contact your Shriners Children's location.
