Sharif Mohamed, M.D., is an assistant professor of pediatric anesthesia at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He received his medical degree and completed his residency at Cairo University, Egypt, completed a fellowship at Cincinnati Children Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and completed a residency at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Mohamed's interest is anesthesia education. He is the chief editor of the book "Anesthesia OSCE Board Review". Dr. Mohamed was inducted in the Academy of Master Teachers at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is on the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists committee for professional development. Dr. Mohamed has received many awards including the Caregiver Celebration award from the Cleveland Clinic and the Honor of Excellence award from Cairo University. Dr. Mohamed is the pediatric anesthesia clinical rotation director and the Department of Anesthesia Journal Club moderator.
