Petra Warner, M.D., is the chief of staff for Shriners Children's Ohio and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery with the added qualification of surgical critical care. She received an undergraduate degree and master's degree in physiology from University of California-Davis, and earned a medical degree from Loyola University Chicago - Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Warner completed her residency in surgery at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago, a fellowship in burns at Harborview Medical Center and a fellowship in surgical critical care at Miami Valley Hospital.
Areas of special interest and research include management of purpura fulminans, feeding success in burn patients, and abdominal wall reconstruction following compartment syndrome.
Dr. Warner is a member of the American Burn Association, American College of Surgeons and Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
