Michael Kinsky, M.D., is the director of the Clinical Research Center, while also serving at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) as a professor and a world-class anesthesiologist. He is committed to transforming the translational research landscape, as demonstrated through his recent developments of a prototype called the Smart Oxygenation System, which cuts across both clinical and bench science. This system monitors patient oxygen levels and can alert medical staff remotely on a smart device if medical assistance is needed.

In conjunction with his translational research efforts, Dr. Kinsky has considerable experience in human subjects research. He served as a member of UTMB's Institutional Review Board for eight years and has assisted in reviewing numerous clinical research studies to ensure subject safety and regulatory compliance.
