Lindsay Stephenson, M.D., grew up near Houston, Texas and lived there until moving to Austin for her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas. While at the University of Texas, Dr. Stephenson played for the Big XII Conference Champion women’s tennis team. In 2004, upon graduation, she enrolled at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
While in her second year of medical school, she discovered her passion for pediatric orthopedic surgery, shifting her focus from a non-surgical pediatric subspecialty. Dr. Stephenson remained in Houston for residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/UT Health Houston. She then returned to Baylor College of Medicine in Austin for completion of the pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston and Texas Children’s Hospital.
In August of 2014, Dr. Stephenson joined the staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston. In January 2021, Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston and Shriners Hospitals for Children – Galveston combined into one facility in Galveston, transitioning her practice to Galveston.
In June 2022, Dr. Stephenson made a move north to Minnesota, where she joined the Shriners Children's Twin Cities team.
