James Donaldson, M.D., completed medical school and radiology residency at Loma Linda University, a pediatric radiology fellowship at Children's Children's Pasadena, an interventional radiology (IR) fellowship at University of California San Diego, and has spent his entire professional career at Children's Memorial Hospital, now named the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and at Shriners Children's Chicago.
His clinical and research interests within pediatric IR include treatment and management of vascular anomalies, pediatric liver diseases and diagnosis and treatment of renovascular hypertension. He has actively promoted pediatric IR within the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Society for Pediatric Radiology. He was a founding member and first president of the Society for Pediatric Interventional Radiology and president of the Society for Pediatric Radiology.
