Julie Lynn Ingwerson, M.D., joined Shriners Children's Northern California to be a part of the multidisciplinary, integrated treatment team for athletes of all ages and abilities.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science prior to medical school and then completed her residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation, a field in which physicians focus on getting patients of all abilities back to their desired level of function. She then completed a sports medicine fellowship to focus purely on her passion for treating athletes. Dr. Ingwerson's background includes caring for athletes of elementary, high school and college ages. In addition, she has worked with competitors at ski resort clinics, professional athletes and multi-day endurance athletes in South America.

Dr. Ingwerson enjoys seeing athletes of all ages, abilities and sport disciplines at UC Davis and Shriners Children's Northern California. She has additional focus on the areas of ultrasound and injection procedures.
