Hal Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., is a pediatric pathologist with interests in inflammation, cell injury, experimental pathology and lung pathology. He has experience working with large animal models to clarify the pathogenesis of lung injury in burned patients. He is also the medical director of the clinical laboratory at Shriners Children's Texas. Dr. Hawkins is from Oklahoma and was educated at Rice and Duke Universities. He is semi-retired and developing an interest in astrophotography.
