Gloria Gogola, M.D., completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama. Her post-graduate training included a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and a hand surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Gogola is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a CAQ in hand surgery. She is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Her specialty is pediatric hand and upper limb surgery. She has served as president of the Houston Orthopaedic Society and chair of the Scientific Committee of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society. Her research interests include the pathophysiology of developing muscle in neurologic conditions such as Cerebral Palsy and Brachial Plexus Birth Palsy, as well as the clinical evaluation and outcomes assessment of children with congenital hand differences.
