Arianna Trionfo, M.D., is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of hip disorders in children. She unexpectedly fell in love with orthopedics during her last year of medical school. While on an elective rotation in orthopedic surgery, she observed a surgeon diagnose a child with a neuromuscular condition based on a mild foot deformity. She will never forget the awe she felt at his ability to make such a significant diagnosis based on a seemingly innocuous finding. It was there that she gained a deep appreciation for what goes into caring for children with complex musculoskeletal conditions and she knew that she wanted to spend her career not just changing lives, but changing lifetimes.

She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola College in Maryland with a dual degree in biology and psychology, followed by medical school at Robert Wood Johnson/Rutgers before arriving at Temple University Hospital for her orthopedic surgery residency. She then completed her fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was trained in young child and adolescent hip preservation techniques.

Dr. Trionfo has a particular interest in caring for infants, children and young adults with a variety of hip conditions including hip dysplasia (DDH), neuromuscular hip pathology, slipped capital femoral epiphysis, femoroacetabular impingement, and Legg-Calve-Perthes. In addition, she treats a wide variety of pediatric orthopedic trauma.

When not caring for children with orthopedic conditions, Dr. Trionfo enjoys exploring Philadelphia's food scene with her husband and three daughters.
