Erin G. Brown, M.D., is pediatric surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Northern California and the UC Davis Health System. Dr. Brown obtained her medical degree and completed a general surgery residency at UC Davis. She then had a pediatric surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a fetal research fellowship at UC Davis. She is American Board of Surgery certified in pediatric surgery and general surgery.
Dr. Brown practices general pediatric surgery, with particular interests in cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery and surgery on fetuses in utero, for children with severe birth defects.
Dr. Brown’s current research focuses on developing therapies that use immune cells to treat cancer and improving the quality of care for children by studying such things as why children who have had a surgical procedure later have to be readmitted due to a complication.
